Positive COVID-19 cases cause cruisline stocks to drop

As news breaks of 10 positive COVID-19 cases on board Norwegian Breakaway, most major cruise lines took yet another hit to the share prices, which still haven't recovered from the Omicron variant.

All eyes are on Norwegian as we wait to see how this recent outbreak will impact future cruises. As of now, most cruise lines have extended COVID protocols including the use of mask wearing in all indoor venues, proof of vaccination, and a negative test result.  The recent increase in uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 signals that these protocols are here to stay for a while longer.

According to Norwegian, every person was required to take a COVID test prior to disembarkation in New Orleans.  Anyone who tested positive was to either go straight to isolation at home, or quarantine in accommodations provided by the cruise line.

As well as talking about my experiences with embarkation and disembarkation, I rate Mardi Gras' Cabins, Food, Entertainment, Service, and Overall Aesthetic. Subscribe to my YouTube channel to be notified of when my upcoming videos drop. I'll be taking a deeper dive in to the food options on board Mardi Gras as well as covering my take on the ports of call we visited in October. Coming in January will be my first review of Royal Caribbean as I set sail on Navigator of the Seas
